Is it possible to delete a user ID that hasn't been used in the system yet? Let me explain....I started adding a new TAM user in security manager and got through the user name and user ID and then realized I need more information so I canceled out and discarded all information added. When I went back in to add her again, it told me that the user ID had already been used (even though I discarded everything). So it's not a huge deal if I have to use another code but is there a way to make it work where I can re-use or delete and re-use that code?

It's not listed in Security Manager?

Did you close completely out of Security manager?  Close TAM / Util manager completely and try again?  I have seen some weird stuff with Security Manager before.

I'll try that and maybe it needs a reindex.  Thanks

Yeah -- it's gotta be in there somewhere. Otherwise I think you'd have to call support, or edit the dbf yourself.

Honestly, I'm not trying to hijack the thread, but we had a new producer start today and his last name is Tudor - I gave him "sedan" as his TAM password because I thought it was really funny - and so did he!

A comedic coup(e) on your part!  ;)   +1 for your wonderful wordplay, and huge apologies for my "punishing" humor.

Mark, other than exiting and then checking again - it may have created one of the other codes such as Who that you need to delete.

I actually considered "coupe" as a password but opted for "sedan".  ;D

There are one or two database records that would have hit the system that it sees and needs to be cleared out. Software/Customer support deals with these all the time so a quick call would be enough to get it deleted.

Thanks all. I took the easy way out and had applied fix it. Problem solved. Probably my first support call in 2 years.....only about a $20,000 support call.......

I had to call accounting support today and they said I hadn't called in 620+ days and had to ask a survey question (only 1). Mind, I have called support more recently, but calls to accounting support are extremely rare.

The health check question should be asked more often than that, at 620 days, it sounds like someone may not have asked anyone calling in (or someones declined) since the program started.
