Deleting Marketing Codes

We are rationalising our codes and want to delete a load. I have tried a few to see what effect it has. Major headache for CSRs now is for existing clients with one of the deleted codes. Everytime they process an activity they are being prompted to "correct" the deleted code.

They can delete the code from Client Detail Screen but obviously that's a pain to do.

Only way round this I can think of is to remove the old codes from the Customer DBF - bit risky. Anybody got a workaround?

Just went through a similar process and we're still getting those little errors about changing codes.  If nothing else, it will make everyone aware of how important proper coding is.
