Maybe I should be looking at a large all-in-one with touch screen.  Bet that would run around $5k? lol

Seriously though, is that a viable option yet?

Yes Sharp makes a sweet touch screen television for business use I compare it to a large tablet.  It wasnt too bad i think it was only 2k for a 40inch.

This is a space that could use much improvement.  In our conference room we have lots of people coming in and they all want to hook up to the tv or projector and they bring macs ipads phones tablets mini book things and always expect me to have the dongle to hook up to vga.  A wireless tech would be nice.

I Was thinking along the lines of a full blown Windows 8 touch-screen all-in-one PC at something like 40"+

I'm pretty sure there's several out there now, or look at something called a Mondopad. Its not a full blown PC but pretty close. All the necessary board room functionality is baked in.

My answer to this will be to have an AppleTV for iphones/ipads, as well as keep a couple appropriate Apple dongles for the goobers that don't bring their own.
