Is there anyway that I can change the policy reference numbers that show up on the policy screen of a client? (the 1001, 1002, 2001, 2002, etc...)

You can do the Move Policies utility and move them around.  For example, you can pull the Auto out of a package and make it a monoline (and vice versa), so instead of being 1003 it will now be 2001.  Is that what you mean?

You could possibly edit it in the database itself (policy.dbf), but TAM keeps track of what the next policy screen number needs to be.   So, if you have 1-001, 1-002, 2-001, it knows that the next major number is 3, the next one after 1-001 will be 1-002 etc.

Every now and then TAM does this wrong (thru version 9.3 anyway, which is all I have).  If 2-002 exists, it could create 2-004.  In those cases I delete 2-004 and it will then create 2-003 properly.

Utility Manager>Forms>Move Policies, then choose the client name, pick the policy you want to renumber, then input the new policy code number. You can choose multiple policies if you need without running it multiple times.
