Here's one I just found out the hard way... Apperently SP3 for Exchange 2007 didn't properly prepschema as well as the fact that it didn't throw an error either... after trying to add a new receive connector some time later I find myself re-downloading SP3 and extracting it to run setup.com /prepschema to fix the issue so that I can add in the connector.  Hopefully it's that simple, but it never is...

I have a machine that simply will not load Windows7 SP2. Not amount of cleaning or retrying makes it work. Anyone seen that to have ideas? I'll trolled Google with no satisfactory results. Same for MS Support.

You might be better of cleaning out the downloaded copy of SP2 in Windows updates and either trying again, or downloading the full executable of the service pack and installing that.  Windows likes to download a small portion of the file, starts the installation and then goes out to the site and downloads and installs the file in real time.  If your router or anything else hampers the data stream while it is downloading, you can have trouble.  You might also want to disable your anti-virus while it is installing.

Good question.  Maybe that's the problem!

Yeah I saw that too.

So prepareschema pulled off without a hitch and connector is created successfully... *waiting of the other shoe to drop...*

Sorry Cannonball, I've not heard of any issues with SP1 not installing.
