Unless it's super browser specific, something seems wrong.  Can't get a chat going with IE8 or FF4.

On Firefox, it never goes into the chat -- just lands on the after-chat-landing-page.  Not sure about IE8.  I am running it and works fine for me, but I am probably lacking in updates for IE8 atm & could only speculate that may be related.  I assume you've tried compatibility mode on/off?

I did not play too much - I logged a call instead.

Isn't that the dreaded pop up blocker issue?  Seems the last time I had the issue I reset the browser settings to default and all was well with the world again...

Think you can force your way around pop up blocking by holding CTRL key and clicking on link.

Should be able to do this.

That does not work in FF or IE, at least for me.   >:(

For ANY popups, or just for OLRT?

It's not working for TAM chat link because I think the issue there is something else.   Poor script calling on applet and not keeping up with browser changes my guess.   I've used in past with both IE and FF with no issues.  Two months ago I tried and like Rick just gave up and placed call.  Defeats purpose so Applied should do some thorough testing/debugging on chat support.  ;)

Don't think it's a pop up issue or this would have worked..

Right.  I use it in Firefox using IETabs.  Absolutely no issue in doing that.  Have IE8 installed, version: 8.0.6001.18702

Applied's entire website is built for IE.  You know, they are MS partners.

Just to get the chat window to appear I had to add the AS site to my pop-up exceptions list.  The CTRL-click would not do it.

After that, in FF it would not connect with a technician - timed out.  Did not try it with IE tabs.

Once on the IE exception list, the window came up and connected after a very brief intermission.

When using FF gotta have IEtabs..   Too many carriers (applied too I guess) taking easy way and only looking at IE browsers.  Sad since it is not the best browser at all nor safest.  Little more home work could support multiple browsers.

I love Premium Financing Specialist website.  www.premiumfinance.com Supports all browsers as most should!  You can complete and issue a contract with any browser, search records, most anything!  Shows it can be done just too many taking short cuts and/or not caring.

I think our site should be doing a decent job and the html is based on some fairly old code, too.  Except for the mobile site, of course.

And I can never get their connectivity thing for techs to connect in to work using IE - have to use FF and then they tell they don't think in works with FF (but it does).

I believe that they are still using the Linktivity product.
