Utility to synch codes?

Okay, been on Vision for two years, just now back to TAM.  I remember there is a utility to "synch" the various files, for instance if the department code was changed on the customer record - to then update that code within the database for policy and other files that may contain that value even if not displayed.

Looking at the utilities, I'm not finding that program.

Anyone willing to help?

Mark

Open Utilities from outside of TAM (go through start button -> all progs -> applied).

General -> Policy Maintenance -> Synchronize Policy and Transact Customer Codes

Is that what you are looking for?  If so, there is a kicker; you don't want to check all of the boxes or you may find yourself doing a full restore from backup afterwards.

I think all you want to check is customer codes.  I'd double check in OLRT.  I always get a fast response form them.  This issue may also have been resolved in your version of TAM... idk what the details were.  Just know support warned me about it.

Thanks - that sounds about right, but I wanted to check with you.  We're adding a department code, and as staff hit policies, will be changing the code as needed to the new one (not able to move en masse, splitting a department).  Need to ensure that department code is synched with other files that keep that code internally.

What is "OLRT"?

"On Line Real Time"  Chat with AS support: https://www.appliedsystems.com/apps/support/logcall.aspx

It's the only way I roll.  If they can't handle it in chat, then they log a call back.  I use this for everything, even if it's just a quick question or to double check something like "Is there anything I need to know before I run the policy sync utility" or "this is what I need to accomplish.  I think that I can do that with the policy sync utility... am I right?"

It's almost always a good experience.
