Has anyone deployed IE8 to their users yet, and if so, what has been your experience?  Issues with carrier sites?

We've got quite a few on it now, no problems reported. In fact some of our (UK) companies sites are better handled by IE8 than earlier versions.

I've used it on my own machine for a good while with no adverse affects. Occasionally a site will act funny, but not typically a carrier site. In those cases hitting compatibility mode takes care of it.

Excellent, thanks fellas.  I have had it on my workstation since it was in beta... but I don't use IE. LOL

I also have some developer tools installed on it, and it causes sites to load all wonky if I don't have the settings lined up.

Thanks.

Running IE8 (64-bit actually) myself - alongside of Chrome.  Early one I had a fair number of issues with IE8, but most of that has smooth out over the course of a few patches etc.  As for users though, still using IE7.

We have everyone on IE 8 and I'm growing to hate it.  IE 8 locks up quite frequently for no reason and has to be end tasked and reopened.  It then gives you the option of returning to your last session or starting over.  Returning to the last session usually results in another locked instance of I.E.  Starting over seems to be a 50/50 chance of actually working or having to end task one more time and then running IE successfully.  I've seen this happen on both XP and Win7.  If anyone has a solution for this I'd love to hear it!

Tab crashing - I will agree, some sites seem to kill IE8.

Love the avatar Charlie - just watched that recently with goober.

We've got over 100 users on IE8 with a lot of positive feedback. Of course, the upgrade was from IE6, so take this post with a grain of salt...

Upgraded our users last summer and been fine with most sites except Utica National.  It's a constant struggle which they admit is on their end.  In fact, today I'll be working with them again on it.

have a youtube clip of it posted on my facebook....

been researching... read an article that claims reg cleaners wipe needed ie8 reg entries.  Reinstalled IE8 on one of my primary problem childs and am going to let it marinate and see what happens.

Contemplating testing the ie9 beta on my station, but it's the only win7 box in the agency atm so that fix (if it is a fix) would only work for me.

Agency wide here - not a ton of issues as far as I can tell. One key thing is to make sure all your standard plugs (flash, java, acrobat reader) are 100% up to date as well, especially after rolling out.
