We're looking at replacing our old HPs with new Dells in the next month or so.

Dell wants to include Office 2010.  Has anyone had any problems with this integrating with TAM?

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure that Office 2010 will not work with TAM.   I don't know if TAM Ver. 11 out 1st qtr which will support Win7 will also support Office 2010.

MS Windows license allows a free downgrade to an earlier version. (You can buy Win7 and install XP if you have the disk.)   Anyone know if that is also true with Office?

Thanks, Gene.  That's what I was afraid of.

I'm running Office 2010 on TAM 10.6 (and back on 10.5) without any issues. There aren't any big changes in Word 2010 from 2007 that had any noticable effect other than the Office button going away and being replaced by a File (not quite) tab.

I remember someone saying that you had to input all of the "user" information into Word in order to get it to work properly.  Things like name, initials and other signature info.  And also maybe reduce macro security or add security for the TAM macro.

You are correct Jeff.  That's all we had to do.  Other than that all has been ok.  We have XP machines though, so I cannot attest to W7.

Sue Good was at our local meeting a few weeks ago and recall her saying it was not supported and had problems.

Then again, I may have heard wrong or she may have been wrong.

Sue is correct in that it is not supported.  We have not had any issues though.  Again, this is on XP only, do not know about W7.

No problems on Windows 7 even though neither are supported.
