Post by: otisbuster on April 16, 2014, 01:30:09 PM
Anyone know how to fix the following errors?

An exception occured while displaying the details of a different exception.  Close & Try again.
Error occurred while loading Home Base Form.
Not enough server storage is available to process this command.

Any help is appreciated. . .thanks!

Is the drive getting full on the TAM server?

Is that the tam server drive, or the workstation drive?

That shouldn't be it then.  Have you already tried Applied Support?

If all workstations need to be rebooted, I'd say it's always a very good idea to reboot the server as well.  Can't hurt anyways, just to rule things out.

Yes, we rebooted servers and workstations galore!  Applied support has no answers. I am going to try exchanging the switch out. . maybe it's malfunctioning. . maybe not.   Worth a try!  Thanks for your thoughts!   :)

This may have to do with patches on windows - IE "open handles" and such rather than free ram or hard disk space, although I'd check the actual free ram as well.

Not sure if this will help, there's something in the wiki here that has to do with opportunistic locking. It says for Terminal Server, but at the time we were having issues, support said to do this on the file server too.

Also, have you looked at the Event Viewer logs on the server and/or workstations? Curious to see if TAM is throwing application errors.

Silly question, but are there any errors in the system event viewer of a given workstation, or the server itself?  It may not be the root cause of the issue, but often times the root problem will cause other problems or error messages that can be helpful in the diagnosis.   Also, it wouldn't hurt to reinstall the workstation software on a test machine and see if it a) either helps the problem, or b) problems arise during the installation process that point the way.  Tamclient /rr, I think is the new command that checks for the required files and reregisters files.
