Where are the instructions for getting a producer signature into TAM on one's own instead of paying ASCnet to do so? I'd like to try it, and have been searching for the instructions and have not found them yet.
Thank you!
Hi Deb. You have to save the image as a .PCX file. If you need software to convert it to a .PCX you can download something like IrfanView for free. Once you have it croppped down to the proper size and saved as a .PCX then just save the file in your G:APPS\PCX (if not G: whatever location is appropriate for your network.) Then just go through the signature setup steps like normal.
Deb,
Signature setup instructions are under HELP on Homebase in case you need them.
I had everyone put their signature on a piece of paper - then scanned the signatures and saved.
I just worked with one until I had the look and size I wanted. It's been a while since I have done that so I don't remember which program I used.
I have always used Infranview both in TAM and Epic.
policy support handles these now, we get someone to convert them inhouse, its just a matter of print the pdf we send, sign it, print the names, send it back and a policy tech will get them converted and will contact back with the pcx files. We'll even help set up the utility for ya if you want.
usually it can take up to 24 hours for this since the actuall conversion of the pdf into the individual pcx files is done by another department, but i've seen it done in as little as an hour or two.
So, if you want to save the work, just bug policy (or me) and we can do it all for you.
Funny. I thought ASCnet charged for this service.
Thanks, Conan! That's good to know!
Yes, ASCnet does offer a signature scan service for $34.95 each for members. It's $209.95 for non-members.
I forgot that was mentioned in the first post.
I thought they quit doing it, either way, its an easy ticket to resolve for support, and its free* and it makes someone else do most of the work. :)
*as long as you're on support...

I like this part. Wonder what else I could delegate that way... ;)
