Title: Styles in WORD
Post by: brinkerdana on January 11, 2012, 09:40:47 AM
No WORD expert here.

How can I copy the Style from TAM Proposals into new Proposal documents?

Check this out (and I'm not suggesting you're a dummy!) http://www.dummies.com/how-to/content/how-to-manage-your-styles-in-word-2007.html

Could be good to keep this resource handy - MS decided that default should now be 1.15 line spacing plus 6 pts. after the paragraph, which means every carriage return essentially results in double-spacing. This doesn't screw up the Applied template, does mean you may need to reset your default style for non-Applied Docs.

They didn't make this change in Publisher until 2010 version as 2007 didn't get the Ribbon overhaul. Copy/Pasting in Pub 2010 from a previous version document is a pain in the butt. Turned out that it was only the evaluation version (apparently Home and Business no longer includes Pub) and I went back to Pub 2007 when I cleared out the evaluation copies.

Thanks, Andrew!

Jim, I noticed the 2007 Style thing.  A real PITA for us since so many of our proposal docs are customized.
