We are going to be cleaning up categories and subcategories. I'm just wondering what happens on old attachments. Will they keep the old categories or will you need to reassign them if you open the document?

It's a throny issue. We changed some a few years ago, wish I'd known more when we went live in the first place. Danger is that someone needs that old document and administrator needs to then step in and change the category to an viewable one.
I believe there is a way of editing the DBF but I've never done it.

That should read "thorny", not "throny" although I know we admins tend to rule like monarchs ;D
