Title: backup speed
Post by: Lynne Desrochers on April 18, 2011, 09:03:02 AM
We did a few firmware updates last week and I noticed that my backup speed jumped from 573 MB/min to 1080.00 MB/min. We are using backup exec. Is it possible? Thanks!

When I had issues with tape backup speeds, that was one of the primary things to do to fix it, according to the tape backup manufacturer.  I never did it however, since I upgraded servers and went to disk based backup, but that's what I was told.  I'm assuming that you are talking about your tape backup.
