I have 2 folders, APBATCH1 and APBATCH2 that appear to be folders that a tech created during a support call. However, not all of the file names match my current one, so I'm not certain. Filedates are all 2008 or older, so that's also smells of dups. Anyone else have these or am I safe to delete?
Jim - just have the APBATCH folder. Newest file is 2/25/11 and oldest is 1/23/08

Confirmed my dates are a little different.
backup the folders and delete... better safe than sorry.
Thanks all - as I expected. Folders temporarily moved prior to deletion. Who knows how many other duplicated files exist from support.
Quite some time ago when applied support copies files, they started changing the extension to "AS1" (or 2,3,4) which makes it very easy to determine which files can be deleted.
Check out KB4516.

Took me a while to find a file list - thought it was under something else but is kinda buried in here. Just knew I saw it somewhere.

Nice, thanks Alice. Didn't find too many.
Thanks Alice,
I also didn't find too many, but nice to clean out whatever junk we can
:-)
using:
x:\>dir *.XXX *.DB2 *.BAK *.OLD *.OL* *.AS1 *.AS2 *.AS3 *.BAD *.XDN *.ABC *.FBD *.ORG /s
I have 1.08GB of excess fat in my Applied share.
but I forgot the ones where I renamed a dbf with my initials or the ones where a tech used their own... I'll never be 100% clean.
