Is there a way to run any type of reasonably formatted report in TAM (outside of using the search function, where the data needs to be "massaged" in Excel) to provide a list of certificates issued.
This report would be used by some less-than-technologically saavy individuals, so the "massaging" would be need to be held to a bare minimum.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Are you asking about a list for a specific client or for all certificates for all clients?
All certs for all clients, or at least all certs for a particular client. We bend TAM a bit and use it outside its intent. One of the businesses we use it for is administering a small risk pool. So under one TAM ID we have this risk pool, and would like to produce a report listing all certs issued for each pool member (pool member being captured in a user-defined field).
Most eveerything you can do to the data in Excel you could do on a custom winreport. Of course, you have to take the time to learn how to write the report but once it is written then it becomes very easy for the end user.
In Reports/Search/Customers/Form-Certificates of... (several kinds), you can run a TAM report.
You can pick customer codes, CSR, Producer, User fields, Issue Date to possibly find what you want?
Also while in the cert, you can get a list of holders. Go to holders tab and >Schedule>List>and choose how you want to filter the list - only this cert or all certificates for this client.

This is what we do at renewal time and give client list to update.

I don't know if this would help or not, but how about making the "pool" a master file, and then using the conglomerate function, make each individual pool member a child account under that? I know, wrong terminology but you get the general concept. The could print a certificate list from each customer file, and maybe run a report for the whole conglomerate. Something to think about.
Thank you all for your insight....it is greatly appreciated...this type of response is the very reason I've got a check in the mail to Rick right now!
