Title: Windows 7 and TAM
Post by: Lori on December 08, 2010, 10:52:28 AM
I can not even access the "attachments" for some entities, and on the ones that it will even go to attachments, I can not view any that were attached unless they were attached by me after I got my new computer. I get the error that the system cannot find the specified path. Suggestions? Thanks!

just out of curiousity, and should have mentioned this in the email, have you set the theme to windows classic?

Also, check which program is associated with the file type you are trying to open.  For some reason Windows 7 does not natively recognize TIF files (at least on the Win 7 machines I have).  I had this issue on a few machines, and it was because there was no program associated to open TIF files.

And make sure your shortcut is wintam.exe instead of asupdate.exe

I do have it set to Windows Classic. The attachments I am trying to open are mainly pdf's, but I did go ahead and check out the tiff program association. My short cut is to wintam.exe not asupdate.exe. Any other suggestions?

Does the path exist that is says dos not?  Not a TAM user, but does anyone know if it use system variables in the settings?

Out of the blue, after a week, I can open Attachments.
