Hello again everyone!!!
Sorry about this - not posted for ages and now I have some spare time I'm going to be a pain!!!!
At my last employers we had an issue with our remote users not being able to amend their user setup on the homebase screen (email sign offs etc). It caused a general protection fault and booted them out of TAM.
We circumnavigated this by using Exclaimer mail utilities to put on a corporate footer at Exchange level. But I want to revisit this issue now as I have a number of other users with the same issue (via TS) who want to change their drill down settings etc.
Anyone have a working fix (not a workaround!) for this?!
The only time I've seen a general protection fault is when Display is not set to Windows Classic. I guess that's not the issue here though?
No, it's not down to the display settings :(
You're not a pain by posting questions - that's precisely why we're here.
Which version of TAM, what OS / Patch level are the terminal servers?
Can you dig up the actual GPF from the event log and post it in here?
This used to a problem for remote users, but was fixed in one of the upgrades. Can't remember which version we had the problem on, but it doesn't exist on 10.4
Ah - the latest version in the UK is only 10.2 :(
Hi All
TAM 10.2, TS 2003, up to date with all MS updates/patches.
From memory I thought I had heard someone managed to get round this by mapping a drive for users that contained either their wintam.ini or wtstup.ini?
