Title: Bulk email - spamming
Post by: Donna Syroid on November 03, 2010, 10:12:13 AM
We are looking into sending some bulk emails.  My concern is that we would get black listed as a spammer.  Is this a real concern and how can I avoid it?

Likely the best way to avoid becoming a spammer is to use a mass-mailing service, rather than your own mail server, for this type of thing.  If the email does not solicit though - and is largely informational, it's not really UCE.

You could look at Magnetmail.net.  Has tracking capability.  Of course, using this kind of service does attach a little something even if you don't want it so the system can track delivery and reading.  Handy if you want it.  You can create a whole campaign that way.  There are others, but we have used this one.
