Title: 1990s technology strikes again
Post by: Jim Jensen on November 01, 2010, 04:01:36 PM
The silly limitation of Applied not being able to multi-task. Have any PDF file open and the preview function in forms simply won't work. It errors out. Support says that Acrobat Reader doesn't support multiple documents. I don't use Reader since I have the full Acrobat program installed. They are apparentely using Reader, but rebranding it and it doesn't show as a process running. I end up printing to PDF drivers instead, but it still blows. They don't even have the "save as PDF" option available. Apparently this would be considered an "enhancement".

That's odd,  I just tested that here.  XP workstation with Adobe 9 Reader.  Opened PDF file with Reader,  opened TAM app and printed to Preview and it opened OK. The PDF file stayed open as well.
