Title: Spring Cleaning - Cisco 1600's
Post by: Billy Welsh on June 05, 2013, 11:05:35 AM
So I am being forced to clean out my "treasure room" because we need the space for something/someone productive.

Among other treasures I have a pair of Cisco 1600 Routers from WAY back when we had a T-1 here and a fractional T at the branch.  As old as they are I keep trying to tell myself they are worthless, but then again it is Cisco gear.

So I am putting it to my expert panel - you guys.

Worth keeping to sell for a few $, or donate somewhere?  Or time to toss?  And if I am tossing, do I need to worry about "sanitizing?"

I think these have more sentimental value than "real" value.  Looking on EBay, it looks like they range from $4.33 up to about $40, with the average about $10-15.  I'd say toss them and move on.

Or do what I do...post em for free on CL and take bets as to how fast they'll be picked up. Great way to get a free lunch.

(Fastest record yet - 15 minutes from posting to pickup for a box o computer junk)
