How do your CSRs connect to company websites?
« on: June 13, 2019, 04:54:49 pm »
Which is faster - to go through TAM to get to a company site or to go directly to it on the internet?  The RealTime feature appears to have improved some since I last saw it.  I don't have access to any companies so I can't tell if it's fast or not.

We use the LINKS in TAM to go directly to the company website.

If the real-time links take you directly to what you need, like billing or policy info, they are much faster than logging in, searching for a policy, go to billing, etc.

That's what I thought, but since I have not yet accessed company sites, I wanted to know how other agencies do it.

I was adding codes yesterday, as there were a lot of blank spaces.  Maybe I can get people to access websites through TAM.

I think the reason we didn't/don't use "real time" is because every time your PW changed that area in TAM needed to be updated...it was just easier to go thru Links.

Website links through homebase don't store usernames and passwords that I'm aware of, They're just shortcut links to the internet.  We have RealTime setup, but I don't believe anyone uses it.  We used to have a few users who used it a lot, but none of the current folks do.  I might need to retrain on this... We have a SharePoint Intranet site setup that lists and links to all of the company sites that is set as everone's homepage and easy enough to access and use.  It also houses our company calendar that announces vacation leave along with Conference room usage and Co. visitations.  Of the three I believe the SharePoint gets the most usage.  A few dinosaurs have websites set up as favorites...
