Getting Closeday Report to print to pdf
« on: June 10, 2019, 10:35:52 am »
I know I have seen information on this in the past but can't find it now that I want it.  Closeday prints on a printer in a branch office I'm in only on Wednesdays.  I want it to print to pdf so I can access it each day (I don't want to make the gal at the branch scan and email it each day).  Right now, I'm catching up on the report on Wednesdays when I work at that branch.  Is it easy to set up closeday to print to pdf?  Are there instructions somewhere or do I need Applied to set it up?  The agency is TAMOnline, but I don't know if that makes a difference or not.

We use FinePrint's PDF Factory software (NOT the pro version).  The beauty of it is that it allows you to open a blank new PDF file
and print several different documents to it, and then save it as one big file.  We use version 3.53 which is older, but works just fine with Windows 7 or 10.

You just have to set this as your default printer in Windows and it will work like a charm.

Before we did away with NU by going to Epic, I was doing it this way for years.

You are most welcome.  Good old Paul Dodson shared that years and years ago.  Anyone know how Paul is doing?

I know he lived in Florida for awhile...not sure if he moved back to Canada after the last election or not (that was Paul's politics - just mentioning it for a reason he would not be in Florida).  I haven't heard from him in several years.  He was an interesting character.  :)

Yes, Paul was certainly interesting.  And although I never got a chance to meet him in person, we spoke several times on the phone and I absolutely enjoyed him.
