Since when does this not work anymore?

I came in early today to do some updating and rebooting and none of my dell servers would update I tried different ftp addresses and different servers  R420 and an R430 they both failed.
They show updates available so it pulls the catalog but when you hit apply it fails.
A quick googlefu showed its a huge problem.  Dell get your stuff together.

If you want to do it manually, and those servers are virtualized running Vmware, etc, just set up a freedos usb key, download the updates to it and boot to dos. Works like a charm.

The FTP site doesn't work for LifeCycle updates anymore for, I think it was 11th generation and earlier now.  I just revived an old R610 for a project and learned that the hard way as well.  I forget the reasoning, but it was some kind of compatibility deal I believe.
