Lienholder Bill - Agency BIll item
« on: December 03, 2018, 11:03:46 am »
I don't have many lienholder billed policies that we bill,so my brain is drawing a blank. Thw policy is agency-billed to the lienholder. The tranaction doesn't show in my account current reconciliation list. What's the right way to bill a an agency-bill item to a lienholder? DO I need to bill it agency bill, then mail that invoice to the mortgage company instead of using Lienholder Bill?

I asked our accting person if we did this and we don't....all our agency billed goes to the client.

This is how we do it:  We first make sure that the policy screen says "Lienholder" in the Billing field.  Then, we make sure that we have the correct lienholder code and loan number in the lower left-hand side of the policy billing screen.  From that point, we just do a regular General Transaction in Invoices.  However, in order to print it, you have to go to the actual lienholder's account in TAM.  It won't be in the customer's invoice area because it is not the customer that owes you the money, but the actual lienholder.

Thanks - it turned out that we did it correctly, except someone check the "binder bill" box, which prevents it from being reconciled. Support finally spotted that.
