I am reviewing the requirements for TAM 2016 and the only area I do not have a handle on is regarding the workstations.  The requirement is that the processor be Intel Pentium D1 or better.
Our stations have Intel Core i5-3550.  I have emailed my IT person but also thought I would ask here for a faster answer.  All other requirements are met...it's just this one area I don't have any knowledge of.  Thanks..

I think a Core anything is better than Pentium, but regardless, I'm pretty sure that your i5 is better than a Pentium D  8)

Thanks, Mark.  I thought so too as our machine builder always puts in GOOD stuff knowing what TAM requires.  I was pretty confident we are OK but...much better to figure that BEFORE not AFTER!!

Well, I'm no expert, but I could not even find a Pentium "D1" in a Google search.  Pentium "D" is from 2005 - 2008 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pentium_D) so unless I'm mistaken -- it's pretty old!

I know I hear and see the Pentium name now and then, but I never give it a second look.  A Core i5 should be plenty for TAM.

I couldn't find it (Pentium D1) either...I thought the same - that it was older hardware than what we have.  I was looking for a comparison but none was to be found.
