Jeff - yes you can select specific policy types NOT to download but it is for everyone - the all or nothing thing.  It is on the billing screen under the area where policy type, status, CRS, Dept info is located.  I don't see it on the apps.

I was told that this was on a per policy basis, not by policy type, company, or even customer, so you could have just one complicated policy that you wanted to preserve and not download, but every other policy of that type and company would still download.  I noticed in another post that Jim Jensen is also on TAM 2014 R2 and seems to be up on the latest ACORD stuff - I am not.  Jim, do you know if this is true?  Or has anyone else tried this?

I thought when I attended the webinar for 2014 R2 that they said it was policy TYPE only - not per client - per policy.  Maybe I misunderstood.

It is per policy basis, but my CSR's would have it checked on EVERY CLIENT because so much is overwritten.

See pol detail snip attached.

To enable "Turn off Policy Download", you have to grant rights to the user in Security Manager. Until then, the box is gray and cannot be chosen. It is on a 'per policy' basis.

From the 2014 R2 upgrade notes: " However, it may be preferable to update specific policies manually rather than overwriting the data through download (for example, if a policy has a large amount of information or if download is not desirable for a certain account).... While downloaded data will not update policy detail on policies for which download is disabled, the data can be resent via Utility Manager..."
