I have a user who suddenly has gotomypc missing from her computer. She used it two days ago and now it's gone. I don't see anything in the recycle bin or in the anti-virus logs? Has anyone come across this? Any thoughts?

Gone from add/remove programs as well? What about under services?

Sent from my super old phone using Tapatalk 2. I can't even run the latest version!

Today all the files were missing from my personal folder.  Not the subfolders, they were still there but all those that were not in such folder.  I restored from a previous day backup as last night's back up didn't have it either, it was lost before that backup ran.  I searched the system and didn't find copies of it anywhere.  Very weird.

Are you able to reinstall it?

Before trying that, is it anywhere in mscnofig?

Did not see it in msconfig, able to reinstall, running a scan and malwarebytes on it right now.

That's interesting.  I did have an issue a few months ago where I came in and one of our Windows 7 laptops was no longer a member of the domain.  the domain account was still in AD, but the laptop was missing everything and most all applications no longer worked.  It was a recently reinstalled instance of 7, too.  I think I had to reinstall it again.

This has my interest, so please post if you learn anything more!

I'd also check for new local accounts..

This is a windows XP, (yes I will get around to replacing it). No new local accounts added, nothing showed up on any of the scans.
I guess it's just wait an see if it happens again...
