TAM Upgrade Issue

We are currently running the 7.1.1 to 8.0 upgrade on a test server and getting an error "There is not enough disk space for G:\AS_TEMP\wg0vopmj.fpt."

AS support has no clue.  The fpt file it is trying to save grows to ~ 2GB before the process bombs.  AS has had us delete the contents of this folder as well as the folder itself, and they have also had us redirect this process to the local drive, none of which has worked.  The server has sufficient disk space as does the PC.  You can click through the error and continue on, but obviously it would be ideal to resolve this.

Interestingly we ran into this same issue when going from 6.3 to 7.1.1.  We also did testing at that time and it did not occur during testing.  So when it happened during the live upgrade we had little choice but to forge on and hope for the best.  That was months ago and I've discovered no ill effects from the issue.  This upgrade was done using a different PC and technically on a different server physically speaking - since then we have moved/transferred (assimilated???  LOL) the physical TAM server to a virtual server.  The virtual is identical to the original physical box.

Anyone run into this one before?

I assume you don't have the problem if you run a fresh install of TAM with demo data on your test server?

Have not tried that.  Will pass it on to the tech who is working on this.
