And yet ANOTHER question on Proposals

Now working on the Umbrella part - and already ran into a couple fields (screen 1) that are giving me trouble.

There is only one field for "Umbrella/Excess" - unsure what the field will contain to indicate Umbrella, what that same field would contain to indicate Excess.

Similar problem on the field for "First Dollar Defense" - there are two possible boxes to be checked, "Yes" or "No".  But there is only one field.  Is the logic set to check "No" if the field is blank?  Or are there two possible values for this field I need to evaluate?

Just add this to my other outstanding problems:
-Can you trim a string variable when bringing it into the proposal?
-How to determine Addl Interest on Comml Auto if at the "POL" level?

You could look at the data before and after you complete a sample of those.  With that I mean you could open the DBF file with your favorite utility (even some Excel versions) and physically inspect the file.

I'm starting to regret getting into this.

NOW - If I run the one pulling locations from the commercial app and the one pulling info from the comml auto app during the same proposal, the locations in the commercial app and the related info are not showing in that replicate table.

No other combination of apps are having that problem.  I also tried moving the auto before the comml app in the setup - same problem.

In the Auto, I have replicate tables for the vehicles and the drivers.  Work just fine.  (I've not included the "Addl Interest" yet, still working on that problem).  But when the two parts are in the same proposal, the locations from the Commercial App do not replicate.

Ideas?

1. Thanks to help from several got the Addl Interest problem in Comml Auto resolved.
2. Again, thanks to help from several (including ABSolutions), got the questions in the Umbrella resolved.
3. Apparently not able to strip/trim part of a variable for the proposal (such as last 4 of license number).
4. On the problem with Comml Auto if in same proposal as Comml App-seems to be sensitive to the customer or how the CSR has done the Comm Info App part - and selecting "multiple apps" option.  On one customer, it worked all okay (except getting multiple copies of each section).  On the customer I'd been using for testing, if I select the "multiple apps" option the premises come out okay on one page, but the Comml Auto has a problem now. So I can move on, will just tell CSRs if they need Comml Auto to do it separately from the rest.

Again - Mahalo Nui Loa to all.

Have you tried importing the entire driver's license numbers to a separate area (that you won't print or show) and then referring to it in the table that will be printed?  I think that if you then used the TRIM command while referring to data that is already in the Word document, it might work.  An extra step to be sure, but it might work.
