Does anyone know how to text message using TAM contacts?  I just looked at a video that was a part of a webinar offering a few weeks ago and Brian Bartosh indicated texting from TAM Contacts was possible.

He didn't really show HOW to do it clearly - it was somewhat of a side demo quickly done.  I didn't see any written info in KB regarding how to do it....

Well, if you know the recipients mobile provider, you can send texts via email like: 2025551212@vtext.com for Verizon as an example.  could that have been what Brian was doing?

Yes, I think that was what he was doing.  He did say you needed to know their provider.  I guess one would need to find a list of how texting is set up for different providers.

Probably not too hard to find, and you could always look them up if you come across a provider not on your list.

FYI though, I have had some experiences with this where it might take a while before the recipient receives the email, and don't forget that ti's still limited to 160 characters unless you send to an MMS address.  In my Verizon example that would be: 2025551212@vzwpix.com.
